They say — change is one thing, acceptance is another.Life flows endlessly, like a river finding its own path.Yet we hold on to things long gone,Echoes of the past that no longer exist in the present.

We are shaped, or perhaps pressured,To be something we are not, Or to expect others to fit the image in our minds —An image that is fragile, fleeting, and bound to dissolve.

Everything ages.Moments slip through our fingers like sand,And all that remains are memories —Some we cherish, some we avoid like forgotten debts.

In those twilight hours,We count our gains, our losses,But leave behind everything —Except the breath, the energy, the soul that once moved this body.
